FanDraft Football v7

 We have happy to report that development of the 2007 version of “FanDraft: Fantasy Football Draft Board Software” is now complete.  The new version (7.0) will become available for purchase on the evening of Tuesday, May 1st 2007.

We have been holding off on the launch so that it(FanDraft) can be released with the 2007 NFL Rookies pre-added into the Player Database.  We are in the final stages of including the new players, and preparing the software for distribution. Expectations are that it will become available tommorow evening.

The NFL draft is upon us, and FanDraft Football version 7 is planned for release not long after.

Until it is released, we plan to keep you updated with the latest information about the new version. This installment we will give you a taste of some of the new additions you will be seeing in the update.

Every year we take compile our user suggestions, and try to integrate the most popular ones into the yearly updates. This year you will see the biggest emphasis placed on “customization”. Users will now be able to really setup the board to a way that fits the style of their specific league.  There are a variety of “Draft Board Preferences” you can preset, as well as a variety of new “Board Displays” that create a whole new experiences.

Below is a small list of some of the most notable additions:

  • Improved User Interface
  • Multiple Draft Board Displays: All easily accessible from a drop down menu.
  • Improved Player Database: Includes a fuller database of players
  • Improved Ticker: Runs smoother than ever, and easy to change speed.
  • Additional Ticker Options: Can show the full draft, or just select rounds
  • Draft Clock Improved: Timer can now adjust by “second” increments
  • Color Coded Players Boxes: Color coded by position
  • Improved “Queue”: Added “search” for easier player find/selection
  • Online Player Access: A simple right-click will pull up their expanded personal information from the internet.
  • Graphically Pick Announcement: Players can be graphically announced after each selection, displaying all the information of the latest draft pick.
  • Improved PreDraft Presentation: Now full screen, improved data entry/display.
  • Auction Improved: Calculate max much each team can spend per remaining picks (based on positions remaining and amount left with at least $1 left per pick)
  • Customizable “Positions”: Add/Remove/Rename positions your league uses
  • Customize the players available for display during the draft: You can choose a certain amount of the top ranked players, or all of them
  • Draft Music: Import up to 10 songs to play during the draft
  • Print Function: Reports can now be printed as well as exported to HTML
  • Enhanced Reports: Includes better information, and more visually appealing.

As of Monday, April 30th 2007, the “FanNotes” software will be discontinued. We are currently planning a similar “Web Based” spin off of the product, and will make announcements in the future.
